Lake Rotoroa Lodge

We are proud of the fact that our agents, Frontiers, have found it to be rather unique that guests returning from Mangrove Cay Club get around to talking about the fishing they had experienced long after they have commented on the exceptional service and efficiency of the staff. Truly the mark of a top shelf operation lies in the way in which guests are cared for during their stay. The fish may be indifferent to your needs, but the staff is not.

Liz and Alton Bain
Managers

Part owner and manager Liz Bain and her husband Alton make sure that everyone who visits Mangrove Cay Club receives the utmost in attention during their stay. Mangrove Cay is not Liz’s first lodge. She has made the Bahamas her home since 1990, managing the former Cargill Creek Lodge on Andros Island. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Liz has a background in accounting, customer service and management that she puts to good use at the Mangrove Cay Club. Her husband Alton also manages to work for BaTelCo, the phone company of the Bahamas, as well as all his tireless work with the lodge. Both are the most charming and friendly people you are likely to meet during your visit to the club. We are very proud to be working with Liz and Alton who are true partners working closely with us in every respect.

Iyke Moore
Chef

Iyke has lived and worked in the Bahamas many years and now lives with his Bahamian family at Mangrove Cay Club. Liz and Iyke first worked together at Cargill Creek Lodge, forging a relationship that they expect to continue as far as we can see into the future. Iyke runs a great kitchen, is attentive to details and the preferences of our guests. His menus are based on the fresh seafood brought to our dock by local fishermen. Iyke travels during the off-season and his travels inspire variety and changes in the menu every season. Iyke’s wife, Rebecca, is a member of the housekeeping staff and they have a son named Obie.
