Fishing Rate Includes:
Accommodations; guided flats fishing; all meals; round trip airport to lodge transfer; beverages including house wines, bar liquors, beer, bottled water, soft drinks; room taxes
Not Included:
Air fare; some wines and liquors; gratuities; Bahamian departure tax of $15; and items of a personal nature (telephone calls, fly shop purchases, etc.)
Mangrove Cay accepts cash, personal checks and travelers' checks for extra expenses incurred while at the lodge.
Deposit, Cancellation/Refund: A deposit of 50% is required to confirm a reservation and is due within 21 days of booking. The balance is due 90 days prior to arrival. The deposit will be refunded, less a fee of $250/person, if written cancellation is made more than 90 days prior to arrival. Thereafter the individual is responsible for the total land cost and no refund will be made unless client replacement (client’s responsibility) is found. No refund can be made for unused arrangements or fishing time lost due to inclement weather.
We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance.
Children:
Mangrove Cay Club is not suitable for younger children who require constant adult supervision. We do not provide babysitting services nor are there programs specifically designed for younger children. As a courtesy to others, Mangrove Cay Club discourages guests from bringing children under the age of 12.
Gratuities
We suggest $60 -$80 per boat per day for the guides Guide tips may be given to the guide at the end of each day or to the Manager at the end of your stay and she will distribute your tips as you instruct.
The recommendation for ground staff is $15 per person per night to be given to the Manager.
Travel Documents
It is mandatory to have a valid passport to enter the Bahamas.
No visa is required for US, UK or Canadian citizens. Residents of other countries should contact their Bahamas consulate.
Please note that there is a US$15 Bahamian departure tax payable at the airport on departure for travelers on private or Charter aircraft.
Customs
Those entering the Bahamas are allowed to bring free of duty 1 carton of cigarettes or 50 cigars and 1 quart of liquor per person. Travelers are not permitted to bring fresh fruits or vegetables into The Bahamas.
Health Concerns
No inoculations are required.
Airport Arrival
You will be met at the Clarence A. Bain Airport by our drivers, Harry or Patrick. The Transfer to the lodge takes only 10 minutes.
Electrical Current
There is 24-hour electric service (110 volts/50 cycles).
Currency
The US Dollar is accepted throughout the Bahamas on par with the Bahamian Dollar.
